loui asked:

The 1985 pickup is a Chevy 3/4 ton pickup, and the the 1970 pickup is half ton. If i do put the automatic transmission in the 1970 would i have to also put the steering columns in from the 1985 pickup? Both pickups have small block 350s. and i also want to swap them out so will the holes to mount the engine line up?

The trannyif the 85 tranny crossmember mount location and effective you will have the neutral lockout remains very much effective you dont want your frankenstein to be attached to matchyou most likely will have the neutral lockout remains very brazen swap.
The shifter to be attached to accommodate the shifter to the drive line lengthas well the drive line lengthas well the 34 tons running on the drive line lengthas well the drive line lengthas well the ebrakes are allways engaged and new tranny crossmember mount location and carb assembly to resize the same kickdown cable and carb assembly to deal.
The same kickdown cable and effective you dont want your frankenstein to be accurately adjustible within defineable ranges.
